Approved by the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) as a repair station on May 23rd, 2003, the Louisville Fast shop is equipped with two ATEC 5000 and the new KATE (Keyless Automatic Test Equipment) for the maintenance of avionic equipment.

A specific program between UPS and Barfield allows Barfield Louisville to guarantee a door-to-door service to UPS.

The 5,800 sq feet shop is located 10 miles away from the airline's premises, which means that the equipment can be collected at UPS in record time so that it can be tested or repaired and returned as quickly as possible.
The shop is also testing and repairing units for other A300-600/A310 operators, such as Federal Express and American Airlines.
