Barfield Inc. has been an aviation industry leader in instrument and avionics since 1945, when James W. Barfield established the company in Miami, Florida as a repair facility. We added Phoenix in 1999 and Louisville in 2001 to better service our customers.
Our tradition and reputation for excellence has kept us in the forefront of aviation technology for over 62 years and our expertise and facilities have expanded to keep pace with the industry.
Barfield's extensive in-house repair and overhaul capabilities include Avionics instruments, NAV equipment, Crew Seats, small actuators, oxygen and many other components and accessories. We are an authorized repair facility for major U.S. and 15 European Original Equipment Manufacturers. We service Boeing and Airbus as well as regional, business aircraft and helicopter components.
As industry leaders and standard setters, Barfield manufactures high quality, competitively priced test equipment including RSVM Air Data Test Sets.
In January 2007, Barfield was purchased by Sabena technics. We have two world class repair stations in the heart of Europe (Brussels / Belgium and Dinard / France). We offer airlines, worldwide, tailor made support services for their fleets of aircraft, whether regional, medium or long haul. Sabena technics offers its civil clients, operators of regional, narrow and wide body aircraft, services covering a large range of aircraft. Sabena technics also extends its skills to military aircraft (except war planes) and to several special aircraft types, including the Canadair CL415 and Tracker water bombers of the Civil Security.
